The two modes

What each one is

Solo — one clip, one go, a score. Press next clip for another.

Online room — everyone on their own phone. One person creates a room and reads out the four-letter code; the rest type it in. The host starts a round, everyone does the same clip wherever they are, and when the last person submits the results open on every screen at once, with every recording playable.

The host can also start the trio scene: one conversation with 3 voices in it, one player each. You watch the whole thing, then run it again with the sound off and say only your own character’s lines — the grey bars are your cue, so you can see each one coming. Everyone does that at the same time on their own phone, and the finale plays the scene back with all 3 of you in it at once. It needs exactly 3 players in the room.

How it scores

The game compares the loudness curve of what you did against the clip's. Where the original is loud you should be loud; where it stops, you should stop. Pitch and words count for nothing on their own — the right words a beat late score worse than the wrong noise on time.

The curve is deliberately generous at the bottom and mean at the top. A first honest attempt lands around Gold Nova; the last few points cost as much as the first thirty.

Where the recording goes

In solo, into this tab's memory and nowhere else. In a room it also goes to the room's store so the others can hear it, and it is deleted with the room after three hours. Nothing is public and nothing is attached to an account, because there are no accounts.
