The lumbar system is built into the backrest and adjusts in four directions, which is the one genuine ergonomic advance in this category. The XL exists for players over 180 cm — order it under that height and you have bought the wrong chair.

Check the size chart before anything else
Secretlab publishes a range for each size, and this is the XL: 180 to 206 cm, 79 to 179 kg. That is not marketing padding. The XL has a 49 cm seat depth, and on a shorter user the front edge presses behind the knee while the backrest curve lands too high on the spine.
If you are under 180 cm, the regular size is the correct chair. Ordering the XL because bigger sounds better is the most common mistake with this model.
The lumbar system is the actual product
Most chairs in this category ship a lumbar pillow on an elastic strap. It slides, it needs repositioning, and it only adjusts in one axis. The Titan Evo builds the support into the backrest and drives it from an external dial: height on one axis, depth on the other.
That is what you are paying for. The upholstery and the stitching are competent, but they are not the reason this chair costs what it does.
The firmness, stated honestly
The seat foam is firm. Reviewers consistently describe a break-in period, and if you are coming from a soft chair the first sessions feel unforgiving. It stops being a complaint after a week or two — but it is a real first impression.
