Sensitivity Converter

Move a sensitivity between CS2, Valorant, Apex Legends and Overwatch 2 without relearning your aim. Your 360° distance stays identical — only the number in the settings menu changes.

eDPI and cm/360° assume 400 DPI. Change the DPI and the two right-hand columns move; the three conversion columns do not, because the ratio between two games is fixed.

The spread is the point. NiKo and s1mple are both at the very top of the same game and sit more than a factor of two apart, which is the clearest evidence there is that no sensitivity is correct in the abstract.See the full settings for each.

How it works

Why the conversion is exact

Every one of these games turns your view by a fixed number of degrees for each count your mouse reports. That number — the yaw constant — is 0.022° in CS2, Apex and Team Fortress 2, 0.07° in Valorant, and 0.0066° in Overwatch 2. Converting is one division:

sensitivity B = sensitivity A × (yaw A ÷ yaw B)

Because both sides use the same DPI, the physical distance you move to turn 360° comes out identical. That is the whole trick, and it is why Apex converts one to one from CS2: the two engines share a yaw.

The number to actually remember

Not your sensitivity — your cm/360°. In-game sensitivity is meaningless on its own, because 2.0 at 400 DPI and 1.0 at 800 DPI are the same movement wearing different labels. Centimetres per full turn is the same measurement in every game and on every mouse, and it is the only figure worth writing down.

The competitive range runs roughly from 25 cm to 70 cm. Below 25 cm you are flicking from the wrist and every tremor lands somewhere; above 70 cm you need a very large pad and enough desk to use it.

What the converter does not fix

Field of view. Two games can share a 360° distance and still feel different, because a wider FOV moves more of the world across your screen for the same hand movement. Valorant's 103° and CS2's 90° horizontal FOV are close enough that most people never notice; Overwatch 2 at 103° on a much slower zoom is a bigger jump.

Zoom sensitivity. Scoped weapons run on a separate multiplier in every one of these games. Convert the hip-fire number first, then set the scoped one by feel.

Mouse acceleration. If Windows “Enhance pointer precision” is on, your 360° distance is not a fixed number at all — it changes with how fast you move. Turn it off before you measure anything.

FAQ

Common questions

How do I convert CS2 sensitivity to Valorant?

Multiply your CS2 sensitivity by 0.314 — or divide by 3.18, which is the same thing. CS2 turns 0.022° per mouse count and Valorant turns 0.07°, so the ratio between them is fixed and does not depend on your DPI.

What is cm/360 and why does it matter more than sensitivity?

It is how far you physically slide the mouse to turn a full circle. Sensitivity numbers are meaningless across games and across DPI settings, but 30 cm is 30 cm everywhere. It is the only figure worth comparing.

Does DPI change the conversion?

No. The converter keeps your DPI fixed and changes only the in-game number, so your 360° distance is identical in both games. DPI affects eDPI and cm/360, not the ratio between two games.

Is Apex Legends sensitivity the same as CS2?

Yes, one to one. Both are built on Source-derived engines with a yaw of 0.022, so a CS2 sensitivity of 2.0 is an Apex sensitivity of 2.0 at the same DPI.

What is a good eDPI for CS2?

Most of the professional field sits between 600 and 1000 eDPI, which is roughly 40 to 70 cm per 360. Below 600 you need a very large pad and a lot of desk; above 1200 small hand tremors start costing you tap shots at range.
